11/5/12

Hello Hello,

I am pleased to announce that we are well on our way into Verbs in grammar.  We are reviewing how to conjugate and identifying verb phrases.  In reading we are also getting into our new novel Island of the Blue Dolphins.  I cannot wait till we get a little further because that's when it really starts to get interesting.  In spelling we are on week 12 and focusing on plurals.  In writing students received their first rubric on the journals and will get a weekly grade.  There will also be a new essay assigned very shortly.

Other than that I enjoyed all of your parent teacher conferences and appreciate all of support.  Their were several AR tests taken today.  I am so happy when we can all work together because these kiddos are very smart and when  they know that you and I are on the same page students work harder!
